Our Lodge Reviews

Testimonials And Guest Reviews

Every year, we are delighted to have both returning guests (some have been returning for over 20 years ) and new guests, thank you all for your kind comments in the lodges visitor books and online, below a few of them

Our Testimonials And Guest Reviews showcase the memorable experiences our guests have had during their stay.

We have been coming here for 19 years now and it is as amazing now as it always has been. Our children were 11 and 13 when we first came here and they still come back with us all these years later so that shows what a great place it is for all ages. The cabins are spotless with everything in them that you could possibly wish for and so comfortable. We have stayed in both the smaller lodges and the bigger ones and they are both equally as special as each other. The view from the big lodges, over the lochan is spectacular. We had no hesitation coming back this year, this is the ideal holiday to go on.” Sheila

What an amazing place, with wonderful owners. We stayed with our son and two grandsons and it suited us perfectly. Everything we needed was there at our fingertips and we could not have asked for a better place to stay. Sleep was amazing due to the dark and quiet and quality bedding! We visited as many places recommended by Simon & Michelle as we could, to great acclaim from our 12 & 7 yr old boys as well as us adults.
The lodge (Huntly) was very well set out with good furnishings a fab cooker and hob, and (to my delight) a dishwasher. Laundry can be done in the site laundry in excellent machines. We had such an amazing time that we are rebooking to take most of our family! Thank you all at Tullochwood Lodges for the best holiday ever” Trisha

What a truly wonderful, magical place Tullochwood is! The lodges are really clean, cosy and with everything you could need. Our lodge (Eilean) had just been given a new bathroom and en-suite, which was gorgeous! Amazing shower!
Tullochwood really is a sanctuary of calm that is bathed in woodland and wildlife. We chose to stay in one of the bigger lodges that has a fantastic summer room looking out onto Tullochwoods own small little loch.
It is so quiet, with just the sound of the wonderful birdsong and the soft humming of the bees.
It is only 10 minutes in the car from Forres, with an abundance of other places to see and explore. Beautiful beaches, woodlands, open space, fresh air that is joyful to your lungs!
Lots of breakfast, lunch and dinner options including Brodie Country Fayre and Logie Steadings. But, you can get all the exploring tips you need from Simon and Michelle who run the Tullochwood Holiday Lodges and are just the nicest, friendliest, most helpful people you will ever have the pleasure to meet. If there is anything you need, they will go above and beyond to give you the best experience possible, but they are also completely non intrusive.
They are always happy to see you! We love it here, and our dog would quite happily spend the rest of her days at Tullochwood! Cannot recommend it enough!
If you want to come to Scotland, Tullochwood Lodges are your place! You won’t regret it.
We come every year and it just gets better” Charlie

Absolutely loved it here and we will most definitely be returning. It was idyllic… and very relaxing, extremely clean and comfortable, it was equipped with everything that you needed. Lovely and warm too Simon & Michelle were lovely hosts, nothing was too much trouble, Simon explains everything to you upon arrival at the lodge, even the best local places to eat and visit.. very helpful.. we had a lovely stay.”Julie

We stayed at Tullochwood for a week in the 3 bedroom Eilean lodge. Both my husband and I and our wee boy who is 3 really loved this place. Such a peaceful location and lots of space for the wee one to run around and explore. Our lodge was spacious and very well appointed with everything we needed. Lots of great days out just within a short drive- we loved Fort George, Inverness leisure pool, Randolph’s leap and Roseisle Forest/Beach to name a few. The lunch menu in the Mosset Tavern in Forres is such good value and very tasty! We would love to return to this area and would definitely stay at Tullochwood again – thank you!” Minnie

Everything we could have thought of was provided ie dishwasher tabs, bin bags, cloths, towels (which we requested). Bedrooms – nice bedding & blankets, nicely done. Bathroom large. Spent most of our time in the conservatory. Even though we are not “out-doors” type people was still a very pleasant break. Very friendly owners. Far better than the average self cateringSarah

We stayed at Tullochwood with our son who has mobility and cognitive issues. The lodge was absolutely perfect for him, and us giving him the opportunity to experience the beautiful, tranquil setting without “obvious” equipment. This made him feel comfortable and relaxed in the surroundings. There is plenty to do, from forest walks, castles and gardens to delicious food at both the town of Forres and attractions such as Brodie Countryfare and Baxters. Simon and Michelle were wonderfully accommodating to our needs and were warm and welcoming to all of us. We will definitely visit again with our son and I would highly recommend Tullochwood.” Kathryn

Just come back from a week at Tullochwood and had an exceptional time. The site is in a picturesque woodland area about 4 miles from the town of Forres (which is also a lovely place), so it’s well placed for getting around. The family that owns the site couldn’t be more helpful, friendly and chatty. Nothing is too much trouble. The cabins are comfortable and well equipped. Beds are extremely comfy, slept like a log all week! There’s a small lake and a kids’ play area – kids loved that. Had a great week, would love to go back next year :)” Graham

Lovely warm, cosy and clean lodge. Perfect for a winter visit to Forres. Very welcoming – Simon spent time with us at the beginning of our stay explaining local places of interest – ideal given that we had never been to the area and were only there for a few days. Would definitely return if we are in the area again.” Sonia F

Myself and my partner have spent a wonderful few days here and couldn’t have enjoyed it more, even the rain didn’t spoil it, added to it to be honest!|The lodge we stayed in was Brodie, which was already warmed when we arrived, liked that touch 🙂 very clean and loaded with everything you could need. Simon met us and went over everything we needed to know and gave us nuggets of advice for attractions and eateries tried and tested. Simon and Michelle are the nicest people you could meet, we thank you both for your warm welcome and hospitality. |Very dog friendly, our 2 boys were able to pretty much roam free which they loved! |We would recommend a visit to Randolph’s Leap, just stunning. We also visited a place called Captain's Table for some food and a tipple in Findhorn, overlooking the beach, also recommended. Simon told us about Bootleggers and The Old Mill for food and drink but unfortunately these were closed during our time there. |We will definitely be back, can’t wait 😁

What an amazing place, with wonderful owners. We stayed with our son and two grandsons and it suited us perfectly. Everything we needed was there at our fingertips and we could not have asked for a better place to stay. A normal 11 hour journey was plagued with delays, but Simon and Michelle understood and still welcomed us at our majorly delayed arrival. Sleep was amazing due to the dark and quiet and quality bedding! We visited as many places recommended by S&M as we could, to great acclaim from our 12 & 7 yr old boys as well as us adults. |The lodge (Huntley) was very well set out with good furnishings a fab cooker and hob, and (to my delight) a dishwasher.
