Nestled safely in the stunning beauty of Scotland all of our lodges are pet friendly and that’s something the whole family will go barking mad for…we have you covered for your next holiday or short break. Staying in our dog-friendly Lodges is the perfect way to revitalise your routine and ideal for you all to sniff out new places

And around the lodges, there are 28 acres of woodland with miles of walking tracks, so they’ll never be short of space to play, just a quick walk or a longer ramble right here on your doorstep.

Moray Is A Dog walkers’ paradise

Moray and the Highlands are well known as a pet owners paradise. With miles of open sands, forest trails and hill walks, you’ll never be stuck for somewhere to take your dog. Here are a few lovely places we take our three dogs, these are little more than a 10 to 15 minute drive :

Findhorn Beach , situated in Findhorn Bay, the village of Findhorn has a magnificent beach, a delightful harbour and a small heritage centre. When the tide is out, a wide expanse of flat sand is exposed, ideal for taking bracing dog walks. As the tide comes in most of the sand is covered, leaving just the top of the beach which is more pebbly but with some great dunes for hiding in!

Roseisle Beach , a great place to visit for a fun-filled family day out. Bring a picnic, or cook up a barbecue while the children have fun in the play area. Relax on the sandy beach, explore the sweet-smelling pinewood or watch out for local wildlife from the bird hide. There’s so much to do here, you’ll keep coming back…

Culbin Forest , there’s miles and miles of paths to choose from, and most of them are flat and well maintained. From a gentle stroll to longer circular routes, there’s plenty for dogs to enjoy. Human companions will love the views across the Moray Firth from the viewpoint tower and walking between the dunes. It’s also fairly easy-going for wheelchair users, and the viewpoint tower is accessible to its mid-point.

Torrieston Walks, discover some wonderful trails through peaceful mixed woodland that includes statuesque, 100 year-old Douglas firs as tall as Nelson’s Column. As you explore, look out for nibbled pinecones left by red squirrels and watch for roe deer amongst the trees early and late in the day. You might also spot otter pawprints on the banks of the Black Burn which you can also picnic beside. Look across the Vale of Pluscarden to Pluscarden Abbey as you walk up into the woods. It’s the only medieval monastery in Britain inhabited by a working order of Benedictine monks.
